It is, very often, difficult to find fresh candles that have not been sitting on a shelf for long periods of time (losing their fragrance potency). But, not us! We fill candles upon order to avoid staleness. It is a proven fact that our sense of smell stimulates our limbic system. The limbic system is responsible for memory and emotions. When you light a candle, it sends signals to your brain that it is time to unwind and relax (energize and/or revitalize depending on the fragrance).
